Hurricane Update

We are currently aware of the  tropical storm watch and warnings issued for possibly Southeastern Texas and are actively monitoring the situation.

Update: Monday 9/9/24 at 11:00am   Port Aransas loves sharing this beautiful island with the world, but being on the coast means the town is at an increased risk of being impacted by storm systems in the Gulf of Mexico.

The City of Port Aransas and Nueces County are keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm, which is expected to make landfall in North Texas mid to late this week.  Rain and flooding will be the main impact for Port Aransas.

  • Tropical Storm Francine has formed in the western Gulf of Mexico.
  • It's forecast to strengthen into a hurricane as it tracks toward the upper Texas and Louisiana coasts Wednesday.
  • Storm surge, damaging winds and rain are all forecasted.

In the meantime, the residents of Port Aransas appreciate any goodwill and thoughts you can send this way! Keep an eye on the page linked below for more information.
